Carter King ’24, costume designer

In his four years, Carter King ’24 has worked on 13 Yale productions and is currently designing costumes for the December 2023 production of the Shakespearian-inspired opera, “The Fairy Queen.”

King designed costumes for “Homeward,” a senior thesis film written and directed by Annelise Ayuravann Ratner about the tensions and anxieties that exist in a Cambodian American family. The production crew envisioned “Isa,” the main character, as a bird and directly incorporated this imagery into her pajamas.
